After tirelessly serving as Chairman of LTSB for over 10 years, our Founder David Pinchin will be retiring from the Board of Trustees at the end of March.

Following a successful career in the financial services industry, David founded LTSB in 2012 to prepare and support young people from less advantaged backgrounds and place them in career apprenticeships.

Over the last 10 years David has been a passionate advocate for the programmes we deliver and has seen our work transform the lives of young people and positively impact their families and their communities. His ambition has been to maintain the considerable momentum for this charity and to galvanise support from government and business to really move the needle in society in terms of Social Mobility, Diversity and Gender Equality. In September 2022 he was awarded Freedom of the City of London in recognition of his work with LTSB.

David said, “It has been my privilege to be Chairman of Leadership Through Sport and Business for the last 10 years since I founded the charity in 2012.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank our Staff, Trustees and Patrons for their terrific contributions over this period. I would also like to express my gratitude to our employers and funders for their support.

Last but not least, I salute our Young People. By the end of 2023 we will have transformed the lives of nearly 1500. Notwithstanding the enormous efforts of all the above participants in this journey, the Young People themselves still have to do much of the heavy lifting. I am in awe of what they achieve every year and beyond.”

David will continue to closely support the charity and we are delighted that he will become our newest Patron from 1st April 2023.

In his final act as Chairman, David will be hosting our sold-out 10 Year Anniversary Dinner and Auction on Thursday 30th March, alongside rugby legend Martin Bayfield. Our auction site is now LIVE, and while all the tables for the event have sold out, the silent auction items will be open for all to bid on until 10pm on the night.
