On Wednesday 28th September 2022, David Pinchin, our Founder and Chair, and Caroline Adair, CEO from 2013 – 2020, received Freedom of the City of London in recognition of their achievements founding and running LTSB.

Their unwavering commitment to LTSB over the past 10 years has enabled LTSB to grow into an impact-driven national social mobility charity, supporting nearly 1000 young people from disadvantaged backgrounds across the UK to date, and placing almost 700 into meaningful careers with major firms.

To mark the occasion, they were joined by Trustees, alumni of the charity, and friends and supporters.

One of the City of London’s ancient traditions, the Freedom is believed to have begun in 1237 and enabled recipients to carry out their trade. Today the Freedom is offered to individuals as a way of paying tribute to their outstanding contribution to London or public life, or to celebrate a very significant achievement.
