We are pleased to announce that LTSB has been awarded a grant of £120,000 from our long-term partners at the Macquarie Group Foundation.

The funding will allow us to reach 120 young people across the UK over the next two years, supporting them through our life-changing employment programme to prepare them for careers in Business and Finance, Digital, Law and Marketing.

At LTSB, we work in communities where potential often struggles to find opportunity, and with this latest grant from the Macquarie Group Foundation we will be able to help bright, ambitious young people in Edinburgh, Manchester, Liverpool and Birmingham access careers equal to their ability and ambition.

Rachel Engel, Head of Macquarie Foundation EMEA said, “We’re delighted that our partnership with LTSB has been extended for another two years, supporting more young people to achieve their social mobility aspirations. We recognise that many people face barriers to employment and LTSB’s programs help people overcome these barriers and create pathways to economic opportunity. We look forward to continuing our work together.”

Rob Burton, CEO of LTSB said, “We are thrilled that our award-winning partnership with Macquarie will continue for a further two years. Since 2014, they have consistently represented the gold standard of corporate partners, demonstrating a sustained commitment to helping us tackle social inequality through funding, volunteering and pro-bono support. We are proud to be partnered with a company which is so committed to social mobility, and we look forward to helping more young people reach their potential through our partnership.”

This most recent grant is the latest in a long-standing partnership, which has seen the Macquarie Group Foundation fund us to build both operational and fundraising capacity over the years as we have grown as an organisation. They have also been generous pro bono supporters, hosting sessions, events and conferences at the London headquarters, and we are grateful to the several employees who have given their time to volunteer on our programmes and on our Board of Trustees.
