This year, from a shortlist of five, three LTSB students from our 2016 intake are up for the PQ Magazine ‘Apprentice of the Year’ award.
PQ Magazine is a monthly publication for student accountants and hold annual awards to shine a spotlight on leading figures and organisations in the accounting industry.
Raisa Ahmed, at The Co-Operative Bank, Manchester; Amber Gibbs at EY, Manchester; and Rahil Mahmood at Rolls Royce, Birmingham are our three nominees on the shortlist.
The nominations were made by the cohort managers at LTSB, based on outstanding performances in their AAT Level 3 accounting apprenticeships, and consistently excellent feedback from their managers. The results are announced at a ceremony in London on February 20th.
“This is great news,” said LTSB Founder, David Pinchin, “And a real testament to the calibre of students on our programme. Rahil has a little further to go before a decision is made, but we’re really pleased for Raisa and Amber, who have been offered new contracts with their employers.”
“We are thrilled to see the hard work of LTSB’s apprentices being recognised by industry publications, whoever the winner may be – that is, as long as it’s Raisa, Amber, or Rahil!”
