On 24th July the London cohorts from 2017 Intake came together at the graduation and awards ceremony with family, friends and employers to mark their completion of the LTSB programme.
The apprentices have spent the last two years studying and working hard in their Level 3 Accounting apprenticeships, and this evening was all about recognising how far they’ve come.
LTSB’s patron Sir William Atkinson delivered an inspirational speech to the apprentices, leaving everybody feeling sure that this is just the beginning.
A few apprentices have truly stood out on the programme, and we were very happy to give the prestigious award of Apprentice of the Year to…
- Damilare Oladunni (West London cohort)
- Bilshan Kokoo Mensah (North London cohort)
- Vasilena Mladenova (East London cohort)
Kevser Kilinc from the North London cohort was the deserving recipient of the Chris Pitchford cup – a prize that is given to someone who embodies the special combination of kindness, perseverance and helping others. The cup is in memory of the late Lord Justice Pitchford, a friend and patron of the charity and somebody who exemplified these qualities.
We were delighted to award our fantastic partners and supporters who have all made it possible for LTSB to continue our good work. Awards went to BKL (Employer of the Year), Macquarie (Corporate Partner of the Year and the evening’s extremely accommodating hosts), Hays (Pro Bono supporter of the Year), Nex (Strategic Funder of the Year), and our brilliant individual champions Tom Willoughby, Dan Page and Kathryn Swan.
It was an evening of smiles, laughter (and of course a few tears!) and we couldn’t be more proud of our Young Leaders!
