LTSB is proud to announce a new funding partnership with the Forvis Mazars Foundation UK to support our social mobility programmes.

The Foundation is an independent registered charity, backed by an annual donation from Forvis Mazars’ UK partnership, with a focus on improving outcomes for young people across the UK. LTSB is one of the first six charities to be backed by the foundation who are investing £400K to support under-resourced young people.

Their investment will support our continued development as a charity, including our planned pilot employment programme in Glasgow this autumn, and the roll-out of our FutureYOU programme for school students. Beyond funding, the partnership will offer pro bono services and skills-based volunteering.

From Alumni to Accountant: the long-term impact of our work

At the partnership launch on Social Mobility Day 2025, we were proud to be accompanied by member of LTSB alumni and ambassador, Ellie Garratty, who completed our business programme in 2018 (pictured below with Interim CEO Pete Ward). We helped place her into a junior accountancy role at Forvis Mazars, where she has since progressed to Client Adviser and is a part-qualified ACCA Accountant.

LTSB gave me the tools and the confidence to go into interviews and succeed in getting my job at Forvis Mazars,” said Ellie. “Regular check-ins made me feel supported throughout my role. LTSB gave me insight into the world of finance and helped me develop a vision of where I want to get to in my career. I’ve loved having a chance give back – being able to draw from my experience to advise, support and encourage a young person who was about to go on a similar journey was really rewarding.”

Director of Income Generation at LTSB, Nic Skipwith, said, “We’re absolutely thrilled to be a Key Partner of the newly established Forvis Mazars Foundation. This partnership is truly transformational for us – it will help accelerate our ambitious plans, whether that’s expanding into new regions like Glasgow, engaging more employers across the UK, or developing new initiatives like our schools programme. The launch event was hugely inspiring, and hearing from Ellie Garratty, who joined Forvis Mazars through our programme seven years ago and continues to thrive there, shows exactly why this work matters. We couldn’t be more proud!”
