LTSB is delighted to announce that we have appointed Martin Talbot as our new Chief Executive Officer. Martin will officially join the team in July 2025.

Martin, who is based in Liverpool, has over 25 years’ experience of working in youth engagement, and brings a wealth of expertise and passion for supporting young people from disadvantaged backgrounds into meaningful employment.

He has been engaged in the social mobility/youth sector for over 25 years, and has considerable knowledge in youth development, programme delivery, income generation and strategic development, having worked for the EY Foundation, the Liverpool Football Club Foundation, and for the last six years with the Dame Kelly Holmes Trust. At the Dame Kelly Holmes Trust Martin was Head of Programmes and Operations for four and a half years, and for the last eighteen months he has been their CEO.

Martin’s primary role as CEO will be to lead the team to deliver on our 5-year strategic plan. This includes increasing the number of young people completing our programmes, growing our employer partnerships, and developing sustainable income streams to strengthen our impact.

Martin Talbot said on his appointment:

“Helping young people to secure and sustain a good job can transform their lives and make a lasting difference — and I can’t wait to play my part with the LTSB team.”

Jeff Hayes, Chair of LTSB said:

“I am delighted that Martin will be joining LTSB as our next CEO. Martin brings a wealth of experience in the social mobility sector and has shown a real talent to manage teams and lead them forward. I wish Martin every success for the future and look forward to working with him to lead LTSB towards a positive future.”
