Fabio took part in the Business & Finance bootcamp in 2015, going on to secure a trainee position at accountancy firm BKL. Ten years after beginning his journey he was promoted to Director, one of the fastest progressions in the history of the firm!
Fabio’s story began when he joined LTSB in 2015. His options had felt limited at the time – going to university or going into the trades. Apprenticeships weren’t widely available back then.
After completing the bootcamp, he met LTSB’s employer partners BKL who offered him a trainee position. Just two years later, in 2017, he was named Apprentice of the Year (you can still catch a glimpse of young Fabio’s passion and drive in this video! https://lnkd.in/erNJGf8Z).
Since then, Fabio has risen through the ranks, with his progression from trainee to senior manager among the fastest in BKL’s history.
As Fabio reflects: “LTSB helped me to get my foot in the door. Apprenticeships weren’t as popular in 2015 and there were limited options for people who didn’t go to uni, but I knew I could succeed if I had the chance.
When I was on the bootcamp, LTSB gave me loads of opportunities to meet different employers. Without that, I never would have found my role at BKL, one of LTSB’s oldest employer partners, and eventually become a Director there.
LTSB encouraged me to never give up. They genuinely changed my life and I’m proud to lead the way for other young people following the same path.”
