We are delighted to announce that we have renewed our longstanding partnership with RSM UK Foundation for a further three years. This continued commitment marks more than a decade of collaboration dedicated to opening professional pathways for talented young people from disadvantaged backgrounds.

Since first joining forces in 2014, RSM’s sustained support has already helped LTSB transform the futures of over 190 young people, providing life-changing opportunities in business, finance, and professional services across the UK. Together, we have launched new programmes, expanded to new cities, and enabled more young people to start meaningful careers in major firms.

A Partnership That Changes Lives

RSM’s support has played a crucial role in creating deep, long-term impact. Nowhere is that clearer than in the stories of the young people whose careers began through this partnership.

One of those young people is Josh, who joined our programme at just 16 and began his career at RSM in Birmingham. Eight years on, he is now an Assistant Manager, with a clear pathway ahead of him: “The LTSB programme equipped me with essential professional and personal skills, providing the perfect stepping stone into the business world and helping me navigate new environments with confidence. Since joining RSM at just 16 years old, I’ve gained invaluable hands-on experience supporting clients across a variety of industries.”

Ebony started her career at RSM’s Manchester office before progressing through several senior roles in professional services. She now works as a Senior Tax and Trust Accountant for a wealth management group:

“RSM were brilliant when I first started my career, and I would love for other young people to get the opportunity that I did! I am now thriving in an accountancy role that I love, where I continue to grow my skills, take on new challenges, and contribute meaningfully to my team.”

And Sabrina, whose career began with an LTSB-supported apprenticeship at RSM, from which she’s gone on to progress in seniority throughout her career: “Working alongside highly qualified and experienced professionals allowed me to develop both my technical knowledge and professional skills in a supportive environment… The combination of LTSB’s preparation and RSM’s commitment to developing young talent played a key role in shaping my professional journey!”

These stories reflect the genuine, lasting impact of the partnership – not just in kickstarting careers, but in building confidence, skills, and long-term professional success.

Our CEO, Martin Talbot, said,

“RSM’s continued commitment allows us to go beyond funding alone and build a truly collaborative partnership. Alongside renewed support from the RSM UK Foundation, we’re excited to work more closely with colleagues across the organisation through volunteering and fundraising.  We’re also excited about the potential for LTSB young people to secure work at RSM.  This three-year partnership will help LTSB support more young people into meaningful employment, expand our work in schools, and strengthen our organisation for long-term impact.”

Looking ahead – the next three years

This renewed partnership will allow LTSB to:

  • Support more young people into high-quality careers through our employment programmes across six UK cities.
  • Expand the FutureYOU schools programme, reaching hundreds more pupils each year.
  • Strengthen our organisational foundations, ensuring we can scale sustainably and continue delivering high-quality support.
  • Grow volunteer engagement across RSM, maximising the real-world insights and opportunities offered to LTSB candidates.

Together, we will build on everything achieved so far and ensure that more young people can follow in the footsteps of Josh, Ebony, Sabrina, and the many others whose lives and careers have been positively shaped by this partnership.
