Desire launched her career with NatWest Ventures in 2019 as a Digital & Innovation degree apprentice. Currently, her role entails data analytics. Desire is passionate about climate change and hopes to steer her career towards sustainable finance in the future.

Cheryl is a partner in Heidrick & Struggles New York office and a member of Heidrick Consulting. For more than 20 years, she has helped leaders effectively address challenges in the global business environment, leading businesses to develop the leadership system and the organisational capabilities needed to execute their strategies.

Episode 2 – Alexa Fuschillo and Virginia Wade OBE

In this second episode of “Leaders Talk” Alexa Fuschillo talks to Tennis Legend and LTSB Patron, Virginia Wade OBE.

Virginia is best known for winning Wimbledon Ladies Singles in 1977, one of the most memorable moments in Wimbledon history. That same year Virginia was inducted into the International Tennis Hall of Fame and was BBC Sports Personality of the Year.

In her more than 20-year career she has won 55 Singles Titles, including three Grand Slams reaching World No. 2 ranking. She also won four Grand Slam double championships reaching World No. 1.

Since retiring from tennis in 1986, she has worked in media reporting, commentating and analysing tennis events for the BBC, Eurosport and US networks.

Alexa joined LTSB in 2012 and completed her apprenticeship with Tradition in 2013. Eight years later she is Tradition’s Legal Entity Controller and is studying towards a CIMA qualification. Alexa is a keen sportswoman and has played tennis since she was 4 years old.

Episode 1 – Bola Lawal and Honey Ajuwon

Welcome to the first episode of the Leaders Talk Podcast with Honey Ajuwon speaking to LTSB alumna Bola Lawal about being a black female leader in Tech.

Honey is Head of Capital Markets Technology at NatWest and has over 15 years banking experience across Corporate and Structured finance, Working Capital Finance and Innovation.

She is a passionate advocate for diversity, inclusion and social mobility and co-managed the NatWest Ventures Digital and Innovation Apprenticeship Pilot with Leadership Through Sport & Business in 2019, which focused on bridging the technology skills gap with talented school leavers from economically disadvantaged and BAME backgrounds.

Bola Lawal joined the LTSB programme, graduating in 2015, after which she completed her first accounting apprenticeship with BKL and then joined Santander where she is now Regulatory Reporting Analyst and is one of our first Alumni to become a Chartered Accountant with ACCA
