LTSB is a social mobility charity and we’ve partnered with NatWest Group to connect young people from underserved backgrounds with brilliant apprenticeship opportunities.

We are offering places on our two-week interactive course where you will receive employability training, interaction with NatWest Group staff and Q&A sessions, gain insight into the culture at NatWest Group and other employers, interview prep work and advice from previous LTSB students on their apprenticeships.

Everybody who completes our three-week course is guaranteed an interview for an apprenticeship at NatWest!

Job Description (the role you’ll be doing)

As a Financial Customer Service Apprentice, you’ll be part of NatWest’s Commercial & Institutional Banking team, supporting UK businesses from start-ups to large corporations. You’ll investigate queries, support business processes, and understand customer needs. You will analyse and escalate queries, provide solutions, and support team training. We’re looking for passionate, motivated individuals with strong communication and problem-solving skills, and a focus on customer service.

You don’t need previous experience, but you do need to show evidence of a genuine interest in the sector.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Educated at a state school (non fee-paying)
  • Live in Birmingham
  • Received free school meals and/or require additional support to access careers
  • Minimum of 5 GCSEs grade 9-4

LTSB will continue to support successful candidates until roles commence in the autumn, and then for the first year of your career.

On the apprenticeship you’ll study to gain a qualification while putting new skills to use in work, earning a competitive salary, and being supported professionally through the programme.
